The difference between the different Medical Assistants titles is what National Board the Medical Assistant is certified through. Here is the breakdown: If the student is certified by NHA your credential will be CCMA. If the student is certified by AMT your credential will be RMA. If the student is certified by NCCA your credential will be NCMA. If the student is certified by AAMA your credential will be CMA. Does it matter what National you take? No, It is all equivalent and part of the NCCA.

To gain valuable experience in this field, Medical Assistant students need to complete 120 hours of an externship to receive a Certificate of Completion for your externship. This can be completed at a facility that we have established or a facility that you have established.

Yes, you will be Certified by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA). NHA is approved all through the United States and is accredited through the NCCA. There are other National Boards to choose from, but we work closely with NHA.

Our Medical Assistant course includes: Medical terminology, patient intake and assessment, vital signs, injections, phlebotomy, EKG lead placement, minor procedures, sutures, wound care, and much more! This course focuses more of the clinical duties. Medical Assistants can work in any clinic, doctor’s office, specialty office, urgent care, laboratory, hospital, and more!

Our Phlebotomy Technician course includes: Medical terminology, patient assessment, venipuncture on all patients using various techniques, OSHA procedures, laboratory processing and handling, centrifugation and aliquoting, basic anatomy and physiology as it pertains to phlebotomy, non-blood specimens, and much more! Phlebotomy Technicians can work in any clinic, doctor’s office, specialty office, urgent care, laboratory, hospital, blood bank, plasma donation center and more!

Our Medical Assistant courses are held approximately every 15 weeks. We will occasional run classes closer together. Our Phlebotomy classes are held every 7 weeks. All schedules are subject to change. We have both day and evening courses for your convenience!

We do assist with job placement. However, we cannot guarantee employment. During each course, we help set up your resume and we practice interview skills. Most students find employment because of the externship that we offer. We maintain a high employment rate with the Texas Workforce Commission.

We offer a fast track program. This allows our students to receive the same amount of information but quicker! We do not add on any additional information that is not needed. We train medical assistants and phlebotomists to be able to go straight to work. This is a straight forward career pathway. This is NOT multiple subjects to make up one curriculum. All approved schools must have our curriculum evaluated by the Texas Workforce Commission.

Yes, our school license number is S5108. We are licensed through the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC): Career School and Colleges. All operating schools in the State of Texas that offer full certification courses must be licensed through TWC.
