Tandra Wimberly
Director & Lead Instructor
Medical Career Training
Hello, my name is Tandra Wimberly, and I am the Director and Lead Instructor for Medical Career Training.
MCT is truly my home. I had the incredible opportunity to build the medical programs from the ground up—designing classrooms and clinical spaces that give students a real, hands-on learning experience rather than just a lecture environment.
My journey in healthcare began at 19 years old, starting as a Certified Nursing Assistant, then advancing to Phlebotomist, Medical Assistant, and Medical Laboratory Assistant before transitioning into education. With over 15 years of college-level teaching experience, I’ve been fortunate to combine my clinical background with my passion for instruction, creating lessons that bring real-world experience into every class.
Teaching was never a path I initially expected, but it has become more than a dream—it’s my true calling. At MCT, our goal is not only to train students but to continue supporting them as they begin their first roles in healthcare. I’ll be the one cheering you on through your training, celebrating your pinning ceremony, and applauding every future accomplishment along your journey.

Clara Jones
Lead Instructor
Medical Career Training
Hello, my name is Clara Jones, and I am the Lead Instructor for the Medical Assistant Program at Medical Career Training.
My healthcare journey began right after high school while pursuing a degree in biomedical studies. During that time, I enrolled in the Medical Assistant program at Medical Career Training—where I discovered my passion for patient care and hands-on learning.
After completing the program, I began working in the healthcare field and was soon invited to join the MCT team. Starting as an assistant instructor, I quickly grew into my current role as Lead Instructor, where I now teach and mentor students in both the Medical Assistant and Phlebotomy programs. I take great pride in helping each student build the skills and confidence they need to succeed in their medical careers—right here, where my own began.

Hello, my name is Caroline Barksdale, and I am the newest member of the instructional team at Medical Career Training.
I joined MCT in 2025 as an assistant for the Medical Assistant program—and like Clara, I am also a proud graduate of Medical Career Training. Returning to teach where I first began my own journey has been an incredible experience that allows me to give back to future healthcare professionals.
