I cannot say enough good things about the course, the instructors (Tandra is the best), and the direction my career has gone. Because of all I learned at Medical Career Training, I was able to land an excellent job. I was hired by UT Southwestern in September of 2021. I have been in radiation oncology, primary care, and now the lead ma in cardiology. I have always wanted to be in the medical field, but I was never good in school. So when I started this program I was nervous I might not make the cut. Then I met Tandra and Clara and everything changed. Both of them were so motivational, attentive, and inspiring. I went from barely getting through high school to graduating TOP OF MY CLASS at MCT! The instructors are amazing in phlebotomy program. Very easy program. The only thing I will say is DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY getting phlebotomy certification. I got my Medical Assistant certification with Medical Career Training and it is the BEST decision I have made! The instructors will work with you personally to help you throughout this course and are extremely sweet. I have a hard time sitting in a classroom taking notes from a slideshow without any guidance. At MCT, they give you fill-in-the-blank notes that you fill in during class AND post lectures on their YouTube channel so you don't miss anything if you are absent or just need a review. She’s such a wonderful instructor always very thorough in all her lessons, she explains things in a way that even someone with absolutely no understanding of the medical field could understand. I decided to take this course as a refresher to reintroduce myself to the medical field, and I can confidently say it was one of the best decisions I've made. It has been, by far, the best Medical Assistant learning experience I’ve ever had. Mrs. Tandra is an incredibly knowledgeable and passionate instructor. She’s patient, supportive, and truly dedicated to ensuring that all her students not only understand the skills and textbook material but are also fully prepared to succeed—both in the field and on the National Certification exam.
